How does the Kanbox Inbox work?

All your conversations, connections, and contacts organized in a powerful, clean interface.

Updated over a month ago

🧭 A layout inspired by top-tier inboxes

The Kanbox Inbox takes its cues from modern email clients to give you a structured, fast, and productive workspace.

The interface is split into three main areas:

  1. Left sidebar: messaging filters, reminders, network, labels, and pipelines

  2. Top bar: smart filters, search, and export options

  3. Central pane: the list of members matching your filters

📚 Sidebar structure

The sidebar is logically organized to make navigation intuitive:

Conversations

  • Inbox: active conversations (mirrored from LinkedIn)

  • Archived: conversations archived on LinkedIn

My Network

  • All Members: all members visible in your inbox, excluding Kanbox-archived ones

  • Reminders: members with an active reminder

  • Connections: your 1st-degree LinkedIn connections

  • Contacts: imported members or those you messaged without a connection

  • Archived: members you manually archived within Kanbox

Labels

  • Your custom tags used to organize and filter leads

Pipelines

  • Your Kanbox pipelines — click to open any column directly

🏷️ Use labels to organize your leads

You can assign one or more custom labels to any member — e.g., Hot Lead, Recruiter, Follow-up.

Clicking a label filters your view to show only tagged members.

🎯 Filtres intelligents pour les conversations

At the top of the Inbox view, you’ll find smart filters to help you stay on top of your conversations:

  • All: all conversations

  • Unread

  • Last message sent by member

  • Last message sent by me

  • Never answered

These filters are key to making sure you never miss an important reply.

🔎 Contextual search

  • In the Inbox, search looks inside message content (keywords)

  • In all other views (Contacts, Connections, etc.), it works by name, surname, or headline

📤 Export your view as a CSV

You can export any current view by clicking the Export button — Kanbox will generate a CSV with all visible members based on your filters.

⚡ Quick actions on hover

When browsing the central list, each member comes with instant-access actions you can trigger simply by hovering over their row.

Without having to select or open the profile, you can:

  • Add a label

  • Add to pipeline

  • Schedule a reminder

These shortcuts are designed to help you process leads even faster, without breaking your flow.

⚡ Batch actions to boost your productivity

When you select one or more members from the central pane, a batch actions menu appears at the top.

This menu temporarily replaces the search bar and smart filters.
Available actions depend on the current sidebar filter.
For example, in Inbox, you’ll see two types of actions:

🔗 LinkedIn actions (executed progressively)

These actions interact with your LinkedIn account and are processed progressively to protect your account from being flagged.

They are marked with a LinkedIn icon in the top-right corner of the button.

  • Send a message

  • Archive the conversation

  • Send a connection request

  • Mark conversation as read

  • Mark conversation as unread

⏱ You can track the progress of these actions via the “Asynchronous tasks” panel (located below the Kanbox logo in the sidebar).

🛠️ Kanbox actions (instant)

These are internal productivity actions that do not involve LinkedIn.

They let you organize and process leads faster:

  • Schedule a reminder

  • Find email addresses

  • Add labels

  • Remove labels

  • Add to pipeline

  • Remove from pipeline

  • Hide member
