How to manage Lead Magnets imports?

Kanbox allows you to automatically convert engagement on your LinkedIn posts into qualified leads using a Lead Magnet import system

Updated today

This feature detects users who interact with your post and automatically follows up to deliver your content and import leads.

How It Works

A Lead Magnet import is based on a simple workflow:

  1. You publish a LinkedIn post inviting users to comment a keyword

  2. Interested users comment the keyword

  3. Kanbox automatically:

    • Detects the comment

    • Checks if the user is connected to you

    • Sends a connection request if needed

    • Follows up and delivers your lead magnet via DM

This allows you to capture, engage, and convert leads without manual intervention.

Beware, Kanbox will use daily imports quotas to import leads. So, depending on your Linkedin / Sals Navigator subscription, imports may be limited.

Setting Up a Lead Magnet Import

1. Name Your List

Give a name to your import list.

This helps you organize your imports

2. Add the LinkedIn Post URL

Paste the URL of the LinkedIn post where users are asked to comment.

👉 Kanbox will monitor this post to detect interactions.

3. Define Keywords

Enter the keywords users must comment to receive your lead magnet.

Examples:

  • guide

  • ebook

  • template

👉 You can add multiple variations to capture more leads. Keywords are not case sensitive.

4. Configure the Comment Message

This message is automatically posted as a reply to the user’s comment.

Purpose:

  • Confirm that the request was received

  • Guide the user to the next step

Example:
“Thanks! I’ve sent you a message 😊”

5. Define Behavior for Non-Connected Users

Choose what Kanbox should do if the user is not already connected with you.

Option:

  • Send a connection request automatically

  • Send a comment asking the user to send a connection request

👉 This ensures you can message the user and deliver the lead magnet.

6. Write the DM After Connection

This is the message sent once the connection is accepted.

Include:

  • Your lead magnet (link, file, or resource)

  • A natural, human message

Example:
“Hi! As promised, here is the guide: [link]. Let me know what you think!”

Automation Logic

Once launched, Kanbox runs the following sequence automatically every 24h:

  1. Detects new comments with matching keywords

  2. Import the leads

  3. If not connected:

    • Sends a connection request or a comment

    • Waits for acceptance

  4. Sends the lead magnet via DM

Best Practices

  • Use clear call-to-actions in your LinkedIn post

  • Keep your keywords simple and easy to type

  • Write natural and friendly messages

  • Avoid sounding automated

  • Align your lead magnet with your target audience
