Why is the email enrichment rate low in some cases?

The enrichment rate depends on the data quality and the type of companies in your list.

Updated over a month ago

📊 Average rate: around 50%

On average, Kanbox finds professional emails in about 50% of cases:

  • Sometimes up to 60%

  • Sometimes around 40%

  • And occasionally, significantly lower

🔍 How Kanbox finds emails

Kanbox does not extract emails from LinkedIn, as very few professional emails are visible there.

Instead, it uses:

  • The first and last name of the contact

  • The company name or domain

Then, it:

  1. Guesses the most likely email pattern

  2. Checks if the guessed email exists using mail servers

🧩 Why enrichment may fail

Low match rates often occur when your list includes:

  • Freelancers or individuals with no listed company

  • Local businesses with limited online presence (e.g. restaurants)

  • Companies without a known domain name

➡️ In these cases, there’s no way to guess or verify a professional email.

✅ When results are highest

You’ll get the best enrichment rates when targeting:

  • Mid-size to large companies

  • Tech-oriented or digitally active organizations

These lists can reach 70%+ match rates.
